According to Screen Daily, Tom is set to star in The Treehouse (also known as The Master of Farnow) alongside Jeremy Irons and Kim Cattrall.
US producer Michael London’s Groundswell Production has boarded Lajos Koltai’s next feature film The Treehouse (aka The Master of Farnow) which is being produced by Hamburg-based Transcorda Filmproduktion.
The coming-of-age story is set among an aristocratic family on a Pomeranian estate in 1910. Paul Mayerberg adapted from Eduard von Keyserling’s novel Schwüle Tage.
Scheduled for release in June 2012, the film is being sold in Berlin by House of Film.
Jeremy Irons, Tom Sturridge and Kim Cattrall have been confirmed as leads for the $7.5m production which is set to begin shooting at locations in Germany and Poland from May 2. Irons and Sturridge had previously worked together on Istvan Szabo’s Being Julia which had been shot by DoP Koltai.
Transcorda Film has the project listed to start shooting early this year, and release in 2012, but has no mention of the cast.
